Introducing: The 4As of Pharmageddon

Written by The Pharmageddon Team • Published on 13th December 2024

Pharmageddon is not a normal pharma event. We don’t do vendor presentations. We’re not interested in press releases masquerading as ‘inspiring keynotes’. There’s no exhibition.

Instead, we’re looking to explore. We’re searching for new ideas. We want you to talk about things that have never been done before.

We understand that this is intimidating to most, who like to stay in their comfort zone and are happy to have endless conversations about omnichannel (pretending it’s the cutting edge of innovation) in a temperature-controlled basement room at the Hilton.

If you want a bullet-point list of the outcomes you’ll get from attending, this event is not for you. But we do want to give you an idea of how the event is structured and an insight into how we will approach some of the topics.

Bringing the A-game

Pharmageddon is built around a cycle of innovation we call ‘The 4As’:

Audacity → Attention → Accountability → Action

Audacity attracts Attention, which creates Accountability, which drives Action. The counterintuitive principle behind this model is that the bigger and more audacious your goals are, the more likely they are to happen. This is the opposite to incrementalism, which doesn’t induce measurable success.

Pharmageddon is split into chapters, each one focussing on one of these A phases. It’ll include provocative discussion and hands-on ‘solve sessions’ that will help attendees arrive at fresh and innovative solutions in reaction to each step.

‘So what?’ I hear you say. ‘What are the actual topics?’ ‘What will I learn?’ ‘What time does it start?’ Some answers can be found in the brochure (download here). More answers will be revealed to those who put themselves on the Pharmageddon waiting list, where extra info will be provided.

But, at the end of the day, what will really go down at Pharmageddon? We couldn’t possibly say. Not because we’re holding stuff back for cryptic reasons, but because nobody knows. Every Pharmageddon is different, and every person’s takeaways will be different. The only way to truly know is to be there.

See you soon. Philadelphia, April 23-24, to be precise.
